When you first log into the game, you will start your journey as a Level 1 Vagrant and will be placed next to a luxurious fountain in the area known as Northern Flarine. You will be greeted by Pang, friendly helper of Madrigal. He will encourage you to take his New Pang Tutorial. We strongly suggest you do. When complete click on Buff Pang to receive his 1 hour buffs. For those who take the Pang tutorial, once completed you will have access to a unique starter quest, Welcome to Madrigal!. If you chose to do these two starter tutorial/quests you will have a good grasp of the game and its mechanics. Remember to interrogate an NPC click on them with mouse. If they have a menu it will appear otherwise you will open their dialogue window. To interact with another player simply right click upon them and a menu will appear.

Left click on an NPC to see their interact options. Right click on a player to see their interact options.

To silence someone from your screen simply type /ignore playersname (This must be redone upon each logon).

Stat and Skill Points

With every level you will receive Stat and Skill points. From levels 1~119 you will receive 2 Stat points per level. 120 and up receive 3 Stat points. Stat points are used to improve your fighting ability. The four Stats used in FLyFF are STR = Strength, STA = Stamina, DEX = Dexterity and INT = Intelligence. As a vagrant STR is the only stat that is really needed. When you Finish your first job your stat points are reset to 15 and the points are returned to your point bank so that you may redistribute them according to your job choice. Image:Stats2.png

Skill points are attributed as follows. Bonuses are received at each Job Change
Level Points Gained Subtotal
1 - 20 2 points per character level 38
21 -40 3 points per character level 60
41 - 60 4 points per character level 80
61 - 80 5 points per character level 100
81 - 100 6 points per character level 120
101 - 120 7 points per character level 140
Total 538

When you hit level 3, you will receive your first Skill. You can choose to add levels to the skill if you'd like. Skills will do more damage than a regular attack and never miss. The more levels you add to the skill the more effective it will be. It will also use more FP (Force Points) or MP (Mana Points) as the level increases.

Vagrant Skills

When you have chosen the amount you would like to invest in a skill, press the OK button to finalize the choice. If you would like to start over before you have finalized your points, press the Reset button. Once you have done that, you can move the skill from your Skill Tree window down to your action bar.
Note: Skill Points are given with every level and at Hero level you will receive enough points to max all your skills. Until then they are hard to come by and should be used wisely. Your first and second job skills will need all the points you have so using them on Vagrant Skills may not be wise.

Merchanting

Penya, the in-game currency is gained by killing Monsters/Masquerpets, as they are called here. It is also gained by trading with NPC characters. When your Pack is full you may sell your items to a friendly NPC. Penya gained may be used to purchase Food, Medicines, Ammunition, Weapons, Shields and Armory. In Flarine these are the NPC's to see for these items.
