Objective : Kill 10 Captain Watangka and return to Meiarun. Captain Watangka's can be found on Darkon.

Quest Text:
- "Human... What is a little inferior being like you doing bothering me? My power, you desire my power? Of course you do, I am ten times the marksman you are! Although this might prove to be entertaining for me… I will tell you what Human, since your soul isn't worthy to join those who have already "fed" the Grasslands, return to your home, challenge 10 fierce beasts and return to me with your tale. What do you say, a fair test?"

- "Big deal, anyone with a bow could probably take out those pesky pests you did. I clearly under estimated the Captain Watangka. You should prove yourself here, on the Grasslands, with a real challenge! I have just the thing, prove yourself to be at least to Rergantus, Captain of the Muran Guard. If you can face Rergantus in a duel and are able to escape with your hide intact, I will know you are worthy. What do you say, are you willing to challenge Rergantus?"

- "Go and find Rergantus, he is near the great tree training the new recruits."

Quest Text:
- "Meiarun sent you to duel me because she knew you could not defeat me. No offense Human, but I have been fighting longer than you have been alive. Not only that, it would not serve my purpose to fight with you. Why turn our weapons against each other when the true enemy lies just beyond our borders. I will not leave you high and dry though Human. I know what you could do to impress her, a token she can not obtain for herself. Before the Lycan Tribe took over the Grasslands, Meiarun and the other children of the Muran use to love playing with the Cave Reeds. Since the Lycan now control the Grasslands, the Muran have not been able to venture to the cave anymore. Will you go and get one of these Cave Reeds for Meiarun?"

- "You can find the Cave Reeds at the Eastern edge of the Grasslands. Not only will retrieving this Cave Reed help you, it would be good to teach a little humility to Meiarun."
Denying Quest Text:
- "I promise you Human, return one of these Lake Reeds to me and we can convince Meiarun to help you."

- "You can find a reed at cave entrance along the Eastern side of the Kaillun Grassland."

- "Congratulations Human! This is indeed the Reed I spoke of. Maybe I spoke to quickly when I said you had no chance against me in a duel."

- "I confess that I sent you to Rergantus knowing that you would not be able to defeat him. I just wanted to be rid of you. I did not ever think one such as yourself would be worthy to grow into a true Crackshooter, but it appears I may have been wrong. Imagine how many others I have judge too quickly, how many more warriors we could have in our battle against the Lycan. I will have to change my ways Human. Even I would not have been brave enough to venture to the East without a strong team at my back. I apologize Human, will you forgive me?"

- "Thank you. As your final task, please bring this Cave Reed to the Elder of Eillun, he may want to see this."

- "Greetings Human, I have already heard of your deeds. Reegantus has told me you brought a Cave Reed back from the East. I was hoping you would be able to bring it to me."

For your efforts your are now rewarded with a new title welcome to the ranks of the Crackshooter. Also as prizes you receive 16 new skill points and 4 new skills.
Quest Text:
- "I am glad you have helped to remind Meiarun that there are other brave souls out there who are willing to fight as well as her. Even just sending you here with this Cave Reed says a lot. Will you allow me to have this Cave Reed, I think it should be placed in our Holy Tree, along with those children who will never play with these again?"

- "I beg you to reconsider, the Reed probably means more to use than it does to you."
