The Challenge
The Grand Colosseum is a sacred place for the brave men and women courageous enough to set foot upon its grounds. It is an arena that holds glory, honor, fame and any man or woman; rich or poor; brains or brawn may die upon this storied battleground. For those skilled enough, for those strong enough, for those smart enough – they however may rise to become a legend… Rebuilt and restored at the behest of the Darken Mayor, and with the blessing of Rhisis herself, the Colosseum is a battle arena where parties or guilds may accept the challenge of facing wave after wave of bosses. Each encounter is timed, with each wave become progressively more difficult.
There are 2 “modes” the Colosseum offers:
- Normal Mode challenge designed for groups of players level 1 to 90,
- Legendary Mode Challenge designed for groups of players level 1 to 150.
Both Modes then offer the choice between
- Party Mode where everyone in party will receive invite.
- Guild Mode where only guild member in your party will receive invite.
- No guild members are needed to enter guild mode for Colosseum as long as you are in a party you can enter only guild members in your party will receive invite.
Complete with a ranking system to track the fastest and most efficient groups, players may strive to be the best of the best.
Normal Mode
The Colosseum offers glory to not only those who have reached the highest of levels in Madrigal, but also to fledgling adventurers looking for a challenge early on in their careers. Designed for players levels 1 – 90, there are 14 waves of Giant Masquerpets to face in this mode, and the time limit for besting the entire challenge may prove to be quite difficult for some!
Each of the masquerpets that you will face in this mode are giants. There is a chance that you will face the “real” Madrigal world version of these giants or an “imitation” version. The chance to face either the “real” or “imitation” masquerpets is random, but you can bet that both are ferocious fighters that only a fool would take lightly. Their fighting capabilities are equal, they differ only in their rewards.
- You encounter 1 giant at a time.
- Timers differ, according to level of difficulty.
- There is a 30 sec timer between Masquerpets
- There are 14 rounds of Menacing Giants
Normal Entrance Requirements
- Must be between levels 1 and 90.
- Must be in a party of at least 2.
- Must be leader of a party to start Colosseum.
- Once in, the other members will receive a message to teleport.
- If you refuse you can not enter later on.
- Once in, there is a 3 min wait period to buff and get ready. To start early press start and the 30 sec counter starts right away.
- Flying item is ABSOLUTELY needed for the Masquerpets can be of the flying type.
Notes:
- If you chose retry it boots you back to entrance.
- If you die Scroll of Resurrections work.
- There is a 1 hour cool down between each trial.
- If you fail from lack of time you may use the Gladiators Retribution or start.
- You may leave at anytime with the use of a Town Blinkwing or by the teleport that is on opposite side of field from where you enter.
- If you die and select loadstar you will be sent to Flarine North.
- You can use Gladiator's Parchment to get a higher chance on mirrored bosses.

Legendary Mode
All the fiercest masquerpets in Flyff have been gathered to face the bravest and most powerful heroes that Madrigal has to offer. This perilous challenge will prove to be the doom of many adventurers. It is not for the faint of heart and this test has been designed to separate the boys from the men, from the wannabes to the legit. Apply only if you truly believe that you are the best and most skilled of them all.
This challenge will pit you, the players, against extremely tough boss masquerpets. Similar to the Low Level Challenge, there is a chance that you will face either the “real” boss, or an “imitation” boss. This chance is random, there is also the possibility that a new, never before seen masquerpet will appear. As this challenge was designed for players of the highest levels, you can bet that the heroes will have their hands full! Good luck Flyffers, and beware of the vegetative monstrosity that haunts these honored walls.
- You encounter 1 giant at a time and they appear in random level order.
- The kill timer in Legendary is random and depends on Masquerpet that spawns.
- There is a 30 sec timer between Masquerpets
- There are 10 rounds of Excruciating Giants
Legendary Entrance Requirements
- Must be between levels 1 and 150.
- Must be in a party of at least 2.
- Must be leader of a party to start with Colosseum.
- Once leader enters colloseum, the other members receive a message to teleport.
- If you refuse you can not enter later on.
- Once in, there is a 3 min wait period to buff and get ready. To start early press start and the 30 sec counter starts right away.
- There are 10 rounds of Menacing Giants
