22 April 2010

Events:

  • The V15 Level Up Event continues!
  • The Sunstone Drop Event Kicks off! For one full week, Sunstones will be dropping from masquerpets higher than level 15.
  • The Easter NPC has been removed.

New Sales:

  • [NEW] Guild House Teleporters and Guild House Return Scrolls have been added to the Premium Item Shop!
  • The Amplification Bundle Sale continues.
  • The All-Protect Bundle Sale continues.

Server Updates:

  • Server Stability: Fixed an issue with Guild Housing that was causing cluster instability which resulted in specific clusters restarting on occasion.

Client Updates:

  • In-Game Mail: We believe the in-game mail issue has been resolved. You should now be able to properly receive mail on any channel. If you continue to have issues please let us know on the Community Forums or by submitting a ticket to our support staff.
  • In-Game Mail: Part of the fix to the mail system was to reduce the amount of mails you are able to store in your mailbox. Previously, you were able to store up to 100 mails in your mail box. That number has now been reduced to 50. if you already had *more* than 50 mails in your mail box, you will keep the mails (You don't lose them) but you will not be able to receive new mail until you have under 50 mails stored.
  • In-Game Mail: Another part of the fix to the mail system was to reduce the allowed size of mail message titles. Message titles are now restricted to 32 characters (32 bytes).
  • Ignore System: You can now check who you have ignored during a play session by entering the command /ignorelist. This list will display any character you have ignored during the time you've been online. This is useful for folks who fill up their ignore lists quickly and want to remove a name from the list without having to relog.
  • Graphics: Bubble's EXP Crystal should no longer *vomit* graphics all over your screen.
  • Graphics: Fixed an issue with the icon for Lusaka's Crystal Wand.
  • Graphics: The cobblestone ground in Flaris has made a triumphant return.
  • Collision: Fixed a collision issue between Darkon and Shaduwar which made it difficult to travel between those two continents.
  • Instanced Dungeons: Decreased the number of concurrent instanced dungeons from 40 to 20 to improve performance.
  • Guild Storage: Fixed an issue that disallowed players from placing items in the last 3 slots of the Guild Storage.
  • Coral Island: Re-added the 2nd Coral Island channel to all servers.
  • Azria and Coral Island: The number of masquerpet spawns in Azria and Coral Island have been slightly decreased. However, the respawn time has also decreased, meaning faster respawns.
  • Error Logs: Improved error reporting.

  • The Spring is Here! 1.5 EXP Event kicks off!
  • The St. Patrick's Day Quest Event continues for 1 MORE DAY. After that, Padriag the Leprechaun will stick around for another week to allow players to turn in any leftover Three or Four-Leaf Clovers.
  • The Razer Mouse Drop Event Comes to an end! We will tally up the folks that have collected Razers, choose winners, and post them on the Community Forums once we have the names.

  • The Buy 2 Get 1 FREE REVIVAL Sale continues for 2 more days!
  • The Pet Tamer Bundle Sale comes to an end!

Client Updates:

  • New Items: The Alice Set, The Mad Hatter Set, the Cheshire Cat Pet, and the White Rabbit Pet have been patched in (But joo can't have them yet!)
  • Text: The Three-Leaf Clover now properly recommends that you bring 20 of them to Padriag the Leprechaun instead of 10.
  • Collision: Added collision to the Lodestar in Flarine.
  • Collision: Added collision to the Lodestar in Sain City.
  • Graphics: Increased the contrast on the Vampire Slayer so that it's not so dark.
  • Graphics: Fixed a texture in the Ivilles Dungeon.
  • Private Shops: If you close a private shop, and adjust the quantity or type of items in a particular slot, that slot will be reset when you re-open the Private Shop. Previously, strange text or graphics might appear when this was performed.
  • Client Crash: When the "are you sure you want to delete this item?" confirmation box was on screen, you used to be able to move that item, which could potentially cause a client crash, should you move the item to a backpack or bank. You should no longer be able to move items while deleting them.

  • Text: Snowboard and Riding Cloud (Sky Blue) have updated descriptions which detail their correct maximum speed.

  • The Chance Box Drop Event kicks off! For one week only, Special Chance Boxes will be dropping from slain Masquerpets over level 15.   • The Rock-Paper-Scissors Event begins! This is an oldie but goodie! Talk to Karin in Flarine to embark on a quest to help her make some Pumpkin Stew and she will reward you with a Rock-Paper-Scissors Coupon. Use the coupon to challenge the Naughty Demian to a game of Rock-Paper-Scissors and see if you can win some loot! Check the community forums for prize details.Rock-Paper-Scissors Event (March 2010)
  • The Sunstone Drop Event comes to an end.
  • The POWER UP - Increased Attack Power and Defense Event comes to an end.

Client Updates:

  • Event NPC: The Valentine's Day Event NPC has been removed.
  • Flying: Removed the ability to fly in a specific area of Darkon 3 (Coordinates x = 3465.096924, z = 2662.528564).
  • Graphics: Fixed corrupted graphics that appeared during the idle animation on the Creper models in Coral Island.
  • Safe Upgrade: A confirmation box should now appear when attempting to upgrade a weapon higher than +3 using an Event Sunstone.
  • Text: Updated descriptions on some clothing sets.
  • Events: Fixed an issue with weather effects not displaying properly when logging into the game during a weather event.

Events:

  • A Sunstone Drop Event begins! For the next week, extra sunstones will be dropping from all monsters over level 15. Get out there and get some SUNS!
  • The POWER UP - Increased Attack Power and Defense Event begins! From February 24th to March 2nd, all players will receive +150 bonus Attack Power and Defense! Please note: You will not see this on your Character Window (H Key), but the buff will be applied globally.
  • The IT'S OVER 9000!!! Unleash the FURY! Event begins! As with the POWER UP event, players will receive a special Attack Power Bonus but ONLY during specific "random" times throughout the day, and only for 1 minute. Can you guess how much the Attack Power Bonus is? :)
  • The Spread the Love Valentine's Day Quest event comes to an end.
  • The Winter's End 2x EXP when it snows event comes to an end.


New Sales:

  • [NEW] Kai and Chi Clothing Sets available in the Premium Item Shop for a limited time only! POWER UP!!!
  • The end of the All Protect Bundle Sale.


Client Updates:

  • Item: Fireworks will now require a casting time in order to be launched. This is to prevent abuse.
  • Clipping: Character hair should no longer clip through the Knighert Helmet.
  • Text: All Flying Boards, Brooms, Sticks, Bikes and Wings will now have their Maximum Speeds indicated on their descriptions.

  • The Spread the Love Valentine's Day Quest event continues! Any character created BEFORE maintenance on February 9th will receive special items upon login. Male and Female characters will receive different items. Visit the [Angel of Love] Cupid in Eastern Flarine to find out what you need to do or visit the Community Forums for more details on this event!
  • The Winter's End 2x EXP when it snows event continues! Players will receive 2x EXP whenever it snows in Madrigal! Important Note: There is one minor issue with this event. If a player logs into the game *while* it is snowing, that player will *not* see the snowing graphic. However, rest assured, you are still getting the 2x EXP and the event message will still be displayed in the SYSTEM window. Players who are online when the snow starts falling, will see the effect just fine.
  • The Countdown to Lunar New Year – NOON to 6PM Daily Drop is finished (As of Sunday).

New Sales:

  • [NEW] All Protect Bundles in the shop!
  • The end of the Lunar New Year Cloak Sale.
  • The end of the New Amp Bundle Sale.
  • The end of the Valentine's Day Sale.


Client Updates:

  • User Interface: There should now be an error message when you attempt to drop an item that cannot be dropped.
  • Masquerpets: The Attack Power stat of Colonel Club-tailed Reptilians and Captain Club-tailed Reptilians has been fixed. Previously, this stat was incorrectly swapped between these two Masquerpets. The Colonel will hit much harder now.
  • Inventory Icon: Fixed the icon for the Splhail Wand.

  • NEW TOP SEKRET AMP BUNDLE PLUS BONUS IN CASH SHOP MENGZ. Keep an eye out!


Client Updates:

  • [New Feature] Ignore Player: It is now possible to block chat messages and whispers from players without having them on your Friends List. The main idea behind this implementation is to give players a way to filter out Penya Spammers or other annoyances in the chat window.

How to Use the Ignore Feature:

  • To block a player, simply type the following without the quotes: /Block "playername" or /bl "playername" - Example: /Block Cromiell
  • To unblock a player, simply type the following without the quotes: /Unblock "playername" or /ubl "playername" - Example: /Unblock Cromiell

Important Note about this new feature:

  1. Your list of ignored players will be RESET if you log out of the game.
  2. This feature does not currently block /say messages.
  3. We feel this is an important feature and we are suggesting modifications to improve upon it. For now, it should hopefully help reduce the spam and annoyances for some folks.
  • Hotkey Bar: The intermittent/peculiar Hotkey Bar functionality should now be addressed. Should players continue to experience problems with this, please contact a member of the Game Master Team immediately through the forums, or by submitting a ticket to http://flyff.gpotato.com/community/?m=ticket
  • Safe Upgrade System: Optimized code for the Safe Upgrade System.
  • Dreadpet Dungeons: Fixed string errors related to Krrr, Mushmoot, and Big Muscle.
  • Character Window: Fixed a bug that caused your Attack Speed to display some ridiculous amount when a debuff is applied to you.
  • Moving Items: Optimized code for moving stackable items to and from your inventory from the Bank, Extra Bag, or Guild Warehouse.
  • Events: The event message will now be displayed every 15 minutes in small white text to inform players that an event is in progress.
  • Text: Updated the HERO text on both the simple and advanced party windows.
  • Options Window: Setting Window Transparency in the Options Menu will now be saved after exiting and relaunching the game.
  • Graphics: Fixed the graphics on two unreleased flying boards.
  • Text: Updated the descriptions on all of the Lunar New Year Cloaks to be more... accurate?
  • Text: Translated new error messages for the Ignore Feature.
  • Text: Updated the description on Hit Reflect to accurately *reflect* (eh?) what the skill does.
  • Text: Updated the description on Water Well to better describe the ability.
  • Text: Updated all of the yellow [HELP] messages that appear in the chat window. There was some old stuff in there...
  • Text: Added the Ignore Feature to the yellow [HELP] messages.
  • Text: Fixed text errors on Pet Energy.

Client Updates:

  • Chat Window: The Troupe button now reads "Party".
  • Skills Bug UPDATE: We are aware that players have been having issues with the change that has been made to the hotkey bar, disallowing the ability to spam some items and abilities by holding the button down and also the intermittent nature of the problem between different characters. Rest assured the problem has been reported to Gala Lab and they are actively seeking a resolution to the issue. While no change has been made this week, we expect an update from Gala Lab later this week or possible before maintenance next week.

  • All Scroll of Pet Revivals are on sale for 50% off! This sale will run for one week only.
  • The CS Sets + Blessing and Pick-up Pets +Blessing RETRO SALE will continue for 2 more days with all items from the sale available.
  • To compliment the EXP Event, the Amplification Acquisition Bundles will be available during the EXP Event.


Client Updates:

  • Duel: Fixed a dueling bug that allowed players to PK other players without incurring disposition.
  • Scroll of Element Change: When used, this scroll's icon should now fade properly in the inventory to notify the player that it's being used.
  • Hotkey bar: It is no longer possible to continuously hold down a hotbar key in order to continuously spam equip armor/weapons. The hotkey bar will now only register one key press when the key is held down in this case. NOTE: We've heard reports of players experiencing issues with this change. We're looking into it. Please report any information regarding this to flyffbugs@gala-net.com
  • Boot-up: Cleared some of the extra windows that appear when you boot the game to remove the clutter.
  • World Map: Monster Elements should now display properly.
  • Graphics: Fixed the "floating tree" near the collector area south of Flaris.

  • Trans: It is no longer possible to use a trans item while inside the Aminus Dungeon. Additionally, you cannot enter the dungeons while under the effects of a trans.
